July 12th 2007 - Special Operations 31 was called out to assist units onscene with heavy extrication of a pinned driver. Units from Station 43 and 46 had been called to a motor vehicle accident and ended up finding two accidents approximately 1500 yards apart. The driver of a BMW Z4 lost control of his car which ended up stopping at least 1500 years from the original accident scene. The vehicle was upside down and the driver was pinned by the foot pedals. The BMW lost the entire front portion of the car The engine and transmission came out as one unit and was found lying near the scene. The only injury resulting from this accident was to the driver of the BMW. He was flown by Trauma Hawk to Delray Community Hospital.
